The former actress, 52, who played Shelley Unwin in the soap from 2001 to 2006, has been awarded an MBE for her services to drama.

It was announced in the List that Sally would be receiving the prestigious award.
She said at the time: 'I am extremely honoured to receive this award for Services to Drama. Throughout my career I have met incredible people, made life-long friends and worked on many memorable projects.

As well as Coronation Street, Sally has also starred in the Sky One comedy-drama Mount Pleasant, as Alison Bailey in the ITV police drama Scott & Bailey and the BBC sitcom Still Open All Hours.
She was also a regular panelist on Loose Women between 2011 and 2014.
Aside from her acting the star is also an ambassador for Demelza Hospice Care which provides support for children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families.
Earlier this month Location, Location, Location star Phil Spencer received an MBE from King Charles for his work as patron of charity St Mungo's.

The TV star, who is best known for his 25-year stint co-presenting Channel 4's Location, Location, Location with Kirstie Allsopp, had his investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Phil, 56, became a patron of St Mungo's in 2010 and previously described receiving an MBE as 'one hell of a thing and overwhelming' especially as the cause 'is very close to my heart.'

The organisation works with people facing rough sleeping and homelessness in Greater London including the provision of emergency housing, opportunities to learn new skills and also innovative accommodation projects.
He first started working with the charity when, pre TV fame, he had a business in the 1990s finding homes for the 'very wealthy' and decided to put a percentage of every fee 'back into the bottom end of the market'.
