'I’ve spent time in rehab and I was just off the rails', Campbell told ITV. 'There was a six months where I lost four people who were really close to me. Even before, I’d struggled to come to terms with retiring from boxing.'
He added: 'Drinking was always part of that and I was getting treatment for addiction with cocaine as well. I think it all goes hand-in-hand.
'There was no thought to the future and it’s a bit of miracle that I am still here.'
Before Ricky's funeral last year, Campbell shared a poignant tribute to his father by revealing he called his son his 'mini-Me'.

'He used to call me his little Mini-Me. We were identical in so many ways, and I think it's shown through how close we were and the banter we had with each other.
'To so many, he was Ricky Hatton the boxer, but to me, he was just my dad, and to the family, it was Richard. We just can't get our heads round it at the minute.'
Campbell is since believed to have, with the pair taking their relationship public just after Christmas.
