But 's confidant Debi Mazar looked less than thrilled with the Material Girl when she and her younger buddy Charli XCX decided to light up in the front row at the Saint Laurent fashion show in Paris on Tuesday.
In a video posted on Instagram by Perfect Magazine, Madonna, 67, and Charli XCX, 33, both lit up black cigarettes while sitting between Mazar, 61, and Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie, 26, at the event.

The act may have just been to satisfy a photographer, who could be heard off camera as he instructed the two singers to cross their legs and make specific poses while taking a puff.
But as the Material Girl and Charli both exhaled large plumes of smoke, Mazar wrinkled her nose in disgust.
'Ugh!' she exclaimed as she tried to fan away the smoke with her hand, before turning to Charli to ask, 'Are those cloves?'

As soon as the photographer signaled he was done shooting, both Madonna and Charli (real name: Charlotte Aitchison) put down the cigarettes as if they were finished.
Afterward, Mazar – who was joined at the fashion show by her lookalike daughter Evelina – jumped into the comments on the Instagram post to clarify her disgusted reaction.

Other commenters were turned off by their smoking and connected it to societal issues.

Afterward, Mazar jumped into the comments on the Instagram post to clarify her disgusted reaction
Mazar got plenty of support in the comments from other fans who weren't impressed by Madonna and Charli's display
But Madonna and Charli also had a few defenders in the comments who wanted them to be able to smoke wherever they felt like, regardless of whoever else had to breathe in their exhaust
Mazar met Madonna in the early '80s while working at the NYC nightclub Danceteria. She went on to cover makeup on Madonna's first music video in 1982, before appearing in several subsequent videos; pictured together in 1988 in NYC
Mazar – who was joined by her lookalike daughter Evelina (R) – later became an in-demand actress with supporting roles in classics including Goodfellas, Malcolm X, Collateral and more
The club went on to serve as a location for the 1985 comedy classic Desperately Seeking Susan, which Madonna costarred in with Rosanna Arquette.
Mazar and Madonna's friendship turned into a professional collaboration when the rising singer hired her pal to be a makeup artist on her first-ever music video for her 1982 single Everybody.
