The 62-year-old actress recalled learning performance tips from her co-stars, Hollywood legends Faye Dunaway and , days after she took to Instagram with a new selfie sharing her support for new Milly Alcock-led flick.
While filming in the United Kingdom more than 40 years ago, she said Dunaway, now 85, and O'Toole, who died in 2013 at 81, made her feel at ease.

Dunaway taught her to be 'mindful of where the camera is and how you're being shot,' Slater told People this week, noting she learned to be aware of her best angles.
The more seasoned actress, who played the witch Selena, advised her to 'just take care,' emphasizing, 'It is an image… film is image.'
For his part, O'Toole sharpened her acting skills as he played the mentor Zaltar in the film.

Slater had previously played Juliet in her high school production of Romeo & Juliet, and off camera the actor asked her to perform a scene from the classic play.
According to People, O'Toole directed her, demonstrating the different ways she could hold a rose to make the moment more poetic.

'It was such a transmission masterclass of Shakespeare,' Slater recalled. 'I felt the poetry in a way I hadn't felt before. So, that's a very long-lasting memory. Happy, happy memory.'
She also reflected on the experience of working alongside industry titans, explaining she was too young to be deeply intimidated.
'When you're young and innocent, [you] literally don't know what that… You should be terrified every second you're in Faye Dunaway or Peter O'Toole's presence,' she mused. 'I didn't have enough years to know to be super scared.'
These days, Slater told the outlet she is inspired to work with creatives using her PhD in mythological studies.

The practice involves helping actors and writers link their work to the myths of the past.
'Nothing is ever really brand new,' she shared. 'There's usually going to be a resource for that. And it's my joy to do that kind of research and put together, doing it in person or on Zoom, that kind of lane. So I love that very, very much.'

Supergirl, which premiered in theaters June 26, has flopped at the box office despite being pegged as one of the big releases of the year and costing $170 million to produce.
After building excitement with her brief cameo in Superman, Alcock's take on the famous heroine has earned a mixed reception.
The Independent film critic Clarisse Loughrey called the project 'a dispiriting girl power disappointment.'
However, Slater took to Instagram upon the film's release to show her support for the 26-year-old Australian actress as she posed inside the TCL Theatre in Hollywood ahead of a screening.
