They are two of the biggest names in pop music and  and Charli XCX bonded over a cigarette as they smoked while on the front row at Saint Laurent Men's show on Tuesday.

The hit singers wowed in their stylish lace dresses as they sat dragging on their cigarettes while posing for snaps.

Recently rumours surfaced of a feud between the pair after Charli's new single Rock Music featured the bold lyrics: 'I think the dancefloor is dead, so now we're making rock music'.

Madonna appeared to hit back at the lyric in a cryptic Instagram post as she penned: 'If your dance floor feels dead. Maybe you’re playing the wrong music'.

However there was no animosity between the pair as they were seen embracing and kissing each other on the cheek as Madonna joined Charli on the front row.

Madonna opted for a red lace long-sleeved mini dress which she paired with pink and black toed heels and stylish shades.

Charli is set to release her seventh album, Music, Fashion, Film, next month and so far fans have heard the singles Rock Music and SS26.

Defending the lyrics in Rock Music and insisting she isn't dismissing dance music, she told Rolling Stone: 'That lyric is very much about my relationship with Brat and my personal experience with that album.

'My husband [The 1975‘s George Daniel] runs a dance-music label. There’s been such a wealth of incredible dance/electronic-adjacent records that have been coming out recently, whether it’s Slayyyter or Underscores or PinkPantheress. Dance music is in an incredible place.'

She has also insisted though that the album isn't a rock record and she doesn't want to define her new music by genre.

Charli has also shown her love for Madonna in the past after she praised her 1991 tour documentary Truth Or Dare.

She said: 'I love Truth Or Dare, Madonna. Great choreo in that, also she’s just the one.'

The star made sure all yes were on her as she headed to her seat

Earlier this week Charli admitted she is 'in the worst place mentally that I've been in my life,' as she prepares to release her new album.

Her new record comes off the back of a hugely successful period for the singer, who created the 2024 zeitgeist with her Brat album.

But coming off the exhausting Brat Tour and her 'complicated relationship' with being onstage, Charli has explained that she is now trying to protect her mental health, taking steps including reducing her social media presence and cutting back on press interviews.

'It's just me trying to do what's good for me, because it got to a place where my anxiety was physically affecting me, and I can't actually proceed in life like that,' she has explained to Rolling Stone.

'The discourse is loud, and sometimes that can be very overwhelming,' she told the magazine.

She also opened up about how social media impacts her anxiety. 'I have actually been a lot more offline,' she said.

'I don't really look as much anymore. It's just better for my brain. I know people probably won't believe me, because I am inherently, at least in the past, a very online artist.'

'But I recently have been really struggling with my mental health to the point where, if I'm being real, I'm in the worst place mentally that I've been in my life.'

She added though that she can struggle to come to terms with any online comments she does read, admitting: 'I'm finding my emotions are very, very volatile at the minute, I'll be honest.'

Alongside therapy, Charli has been feeling more grounded by spending time with her husband and friends.

She explained that 1975 frontman Matty Healy has also been a sounding board for her struggles, telling Rolling Stone: 'He was being… helpful in his way,' she said.
