The former Today show co-host, who recently embarked on a new chapter in podcasting, had appeared on just two episodes of The Long Weekend before becoming embroiled in controversy.
The new three-hour Friday show, broadcast across ARN's Gold radio network, came under scrutiny following his interview with British far-right commentator on his own podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show.

According to AFR, sources revealed the network made the decision to end their relationship this week.
Stefanovic's contract was worth approximately $200,000 for the rest of the year.
It comes as fellow shock jock registered 'Kyle and Karl' websites within the last 24 hours.

Domain names appear to point to a potential partnership between the pair quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands' company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.
