The award-winning singer appeared on The BobbyCast with Bobby Bones in March, where he opened up about the contract he signed at the start of his career.
Brown said he ‘was kind of forced’ into the deal and has only recently been able to renegotiate it, explaining he ‘just now redid my deal to make it kind of fair. …That’s why I’ve been worried my whole career, because I’m like, I’m not getting what I should. If it all went away today, I think I’d be fine, but I don’t have what a lot of people think I have.’
Asked directly how much he felt he had lost out on, Bobby Bones pressed him further, saying, ‘How much money do you think you’ve given away that you probably shouldn’t have had to give away?’
Brown didn’t hold back in his response, replying, ‘$10 million. I asked my business manager. I got screwed out of that.’
