When was a leading star on The Only Way Is Essex, scenes of her partying with the likes of , Mark Wright and were watched by millions.

She first shot to fame after joining the show in 2011 and launched a successful career, including starring in nine seasons of her own show Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries, charting Billie and her sister Sam as they navigated motherhood.

Then Billie starred in The Family Dairies with her husband Greg, focusing just on their family unit. Cameras followed the siblings once again in 2025 for Sam & Billie: Sister Act, documenting their work as entrepreneurs.

However, in a decision that came as a shock to Sam and Billie, who had been fiercely loyal to for years, channel bosses dropped it from their schedules after just one series.

Now I can reveal that sources close to Billie tell me she’s done with the world of television and ready to step out of the limelight for good, opting instead for a quieter life at home in Brentwood with her three children Nelly, 12, Arthur, nine, and Margot, four.

And I can disclose that the liquidation of Billie’s television company, Billie Faiers Enterprises – which she established just months after she joined  – is set to complete by 12 July.

Former TOWIE star Billie Faiers is said to be stepping out of the limelight to focus on a quieter life in Brentwood, Essex, with her three children and husband, Greg Shepherd

She had two reality shows with her sister Sam – firstly, Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries, and then Sam & Billie: Sister Act – but the latter was dropped by ITV bosses after just one series

A source says: ‘Billie has privately quit TV and is done with it. She shut down her company so she could withdraw the profits. She has so much money she never has to work again,’ says my source.

‘Billie is very smart and savvy and knows her showbiz bubble has burst now but she doesn’t care. She’s rich, she’s got her kids, her family and her husband – that’s all she’s ever wanted.’

Billie will hardly struggle financially without income from television. She’s set to pocket over £1.2million once the liquidation of her company is completed. And she’s said to be worth £4million from her social media and other businesses.

The 36-year-old has a carefully curated Instagram timeline where she regularly posts pictures of her family and lavish holidays – often funded by brand collaborations – to her 2.5million followers.

Her large following has also seen her secure deals with well-known brands including supermarket chain Asda, where she has her own clothing collection.

Billie is also the founder of home and lifestyle brand Chapter B, which makes ‘affordable luxe’ items such as vases, glassware and diffusers.

She has a jewellery and watches wholesale company too – MyNelly – named after her eldest child. The latest company accounts reveal it has assets of almost £1million.

And she shares her fortune with her husband Greg, 41, who is a businessman who has worked as a broker, co-runs Picture Property Sourcing, which supplies property deals to investors, and is the director of EHG Travel, an events firm.

But Billie’s decision to leave television, something which has been a constant in her life for over 15 years, will surely shock fans, given how she’s profited from documenting her private life for years.

During their TOWIE days, Billie and Sam co-founded clothing business Minnies Boutique, but Billie now runs the company by herself

She met her husband Greg during her first year on the TOWIE and married him in a lavish Maldives ceremony in 2019 which was filmed for her show, The Mummy Diaries.

During the nuptials, which were aired as a special episode, Greg paid a cheeky tribute to Billie’s figure by joking she had ‘the best a**e in the business’.

Billie and Sam, who is 35, also co-founded Minnies Boutique during their TOWIE days, but it is now run by Billie alone following Sam’s exit in 2017.

Last year sources told how a rift between them left their mother Suzie, 57, in the middle. I understand they are now on better terms in what must be a relief to their family.

A source said: ‘The feud is over with Sam but for how long? Sam secretly pities her, watching her shutting down her companies. She thinks she should be doing more with her life than being an Essex housewife.

‘Billie is a lot more down to earth than Sam and essentially just wants to stay at home with her kids. Sam on the other hand is fame hungry and obsessed with making millions. This is why fans have fallen out of love with them because they’re not relatable anymore and they look desperate – they’re always flogging something. It’s all very sad really.’

My source continued: ‘It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Billie had another baby – she’s an amazing mum and she’s sticking to what she’s best at’.

Billie is convinced that a quiet life with the kids awaits, but can someone who’s been in the limelight for so long ever guarantee that they won’t step in front of the cameras again?
