Aussie socialite raises eyebrows with her deep mahogany tan after baking in the sun for four hours in oil: 'I thought it was Amal Clooney!'

An Australian socialite has raised eyebrows after sharing the results of her deep tan which left her looking almost unrecognisable.

Real Housewives of star Victoria Montano had her followers doing a double-take on Thursday when she returned from a luxurious holiday in Bali. 

The glamorous 43-year-old took to Instagram to show off her significantly deeper bronzed complexion which she achieved by basting herself in oil and laying in the sun. 

In a series of snaps from her tropical getaway, Victoria posed in a chic, patterned two-piece Dolce & Gabbana outfit, highlighting her toned figure and striking, deep tan.

The reality star, who was pictured alongside her husband Tim and their two children, appeared to be embracing the island lifestyle, with her bold new look a world away from her normally subdued complexion.

She revealed the extreme lengths she went to to achieve her mahogany complexion underneath a post containing several fire emojis.

'4 hours tanning with oil yesterday - elevated,' she responded alongside a laughing emoji.  

Fans were quick to flock to the comments section.

'I thought this was Amal Clooney,' one person quipped.

'Bronzed goddess,' added another. 

'I have been very focused,' Victoria hit back, adding a laughing emoji. 

'Hot hot hot,' wrote someone else, clearly impressed.

'You look incredible as always,' a third chimed in. 

Victoria has developed a reputation for her upmarket tastes and last year raised eyebrows for taking part in a 'classless' video which had Sydney's eastern suburbs cringing.
